SOCCER: Ferris Falls To Northern In Tough Sunday Match

BIG RAPIDS - Ferris State University has had a tough start to this season facing some quality competition inside and outside of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in women's soccer.

The Bulldogs, Sunday afternoon, had another tough one go against them as they suffered a 3-2 GLIAC loss to Northern Michigan University at the FSU Soccer Field.
The Bulldogs were down 2-0 on the scoreboard before they rallied very late in the contest with a goal from Megan McCabe who got her first of the season at 84:59 off an assist from Kristen March as she headed the ball into the net. Shortly thereafter, at 89:31, Dana Stephens, assisted by Kari Buckel, scored her third of the season to pull Ferris to within one.

That was as close as it would get for Ferris as the Wildcats held on down the stretch to claim the victory.
Stevie Salow played keeper for the Bulldogs and allowed three goals as she made eight saves in an effort to keep Ferris in the contest.
The Bulldogs fall to 1-5-1 overall and 1-2-0 in the GLIAC while Northern lifts its record to 4-3-0 overall and 2-1-0 in the GLIAC.
