WOMEN'S TENNIS: Ferris Earns Big Win Over Rival Grand Valley State University

BIG RAPIDS - It may have slipped under the radar for a number of fans of Ferris State University Athletics, but the women's tennis team earned a big win this week.

The Bulldogs, Saturday, defeated Grand Valley State University by a 5-4 margin in a tightly-contested battle indoors at the Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.

Ferris grabbed a 2-1 lead after doubles competition and then split the six singles flights to earn a much-deserved win over one of the better teams in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and in the region.

Are head coach Alex Palladino's Bulldogs on their way back up the ladder in the GLIAC? This win certainly puts the team in a more favorable position.
