VOLLEYBALL: Former Ferris Assistant Andrea Leonard Joins Staff At San Diego State

SAN DIEGO - Former Ferris State University assistant volleyball coach Andrea Leonard is headed out to the west coast to become an assistant coach for the San Diego State volleyball program.

Leonard resigned as head coach at Boston College and is headed out to the west coast to start a new chapter in her coaching career with the Aztecs under head coach Deitre Collins-Parker. The announcement was made by SDSU on its official Web site, here.

"I am very excited to be here at SDSU and to have an opportunity to work with Deitre," said Leonard, who spent eight seasons at Boston College and led the program to its first 20-win campaign in school history and first post-season appearance in the Big East in 11 campaigns, in a press release. "She is an incredible coach with a history of success as both a player and coach. I look forward to learning more from her and her staff, as well as being a part of an up and coming program."
