FOOTBALL: Morgan Talks About Ferris' Preseason Camp

Ferris State University
defensive lineman Jordan Morgan, who opened a lot of eyes during his first season with the Bulldogs in 2009, has high hopes in 2010.

Morgan, who emerged as a very good pass rusher and a guy who demands a lot of attention from opposing offensive lines, believes preseason camp has gone well for the Bulldogs.

"I think we had a pretty good (preseason) camp and we definitely took some steps up," Morgan said. "We're getting a lot better and coach has been talking to us about how we need to pick it up every practice and we had a good scrimmage on Friday."

Ferris' week-one opponent, preseason nationally-ranked Hillsdale College, will be a big challenge for the Bulldogs.

"It's pretty exciting after being in camp and having two or three weeks going against our guys. It's nice to go against another team. Hillsdale being one of the better teams last year that beat us pretty bad and show the GLIAC what we have."

Morgan believes the Bulldogs are ready for the challenge.
