more linebacker Tayo Moss.Moss, a native of South Rockwood who prepped at Monroe St. Mary's Catholic, was named the D2football.com National Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Ferris' 21-17 win over then nationally-ranked Saginaw Valley State University.
Additionally, the organization selected Tusculum (Tenn.) quarterback Bo Cordell as national offensive player of the week and punt returner Jywin Ceaser of Arkansas-Monticello as national special teams player of the week.
Moss becomes the first Ferris State player to receive a national player of the week honor since current senior safety Chad Wilson (Howell) was also recognized as the D2football.com National Defensive Player of the Week two years ago following his game-winning 75-yard interception return for a score in FSU's home win over Northern Michigan (9/27/08).
