VOLLEYBALL: Ferris Gets Back On Winning Track With Four-Set Win Over Michigan Tech

Ferris State University got the bounce-back effort it needed on Sunday afternoon as it needed three sets to knock off Michigan Tech University inside Ewigleben Sports Arena in Big Rapids.

The Bulldogs defeated the Huskies 16-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-23 led by Arielle Goodson, who finished with 20 kills. Ashley Huntey added 13 kills while Danielle Hamilton finished with a nine-kill effort against MTU on Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.

Setter Samantha Fordyce, growing into a better and better setter by the match, was solid again as she finished with a 32-assist effort to pace the Bulldog offense.

Defensively, Lisa Tobiczyk totaled 14 digs, Huntey had seven and Fordyce totaled six in the victorious effort.

With the win, Ferris improves to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the GLIAC's North Division. The competition promises to be tough all season for the Bulldogs as they battle for supremacy in the very tough North Division of the GLIAC.
