The Bulldogs got just that with Saturday's 3-0 win over Northwood, in Midland, followed up by the squad's 3-1 win over Lake Superior in Sault Ste. Marie.
With the wins, Ferris now improves to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in the North Division standings of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
It was quite an impressive set of performances for the Bulldogs who have had a few rough outings with league losses to Northern Michigan and Grand Valley State.
But, it's a long season and the Bulldogs hope to be the team standing tall by the end of the season in a tough NCAA Division II volleyball league.
Arielle Goodson had 18 kills, Ashley Huntey had 11 and Aly Brecht had 10 in the win over the Lakers on Sunday afternoon. Lisa Tobiczyk and Dana Ruttle each had 11 digs.
Against Northwood, Danielle Hamilton (pictured) had 10 kills to lead the way. Samantha Fordyce had 33 aces while Tobiczyk had 22 digs.
Ferris has a tough test with a Sept. 24 road date at traditional power Hillsdale College at 7 p.m.
