ris State University's football team.Saturday, in a 41-0 loss to top-ranked Grand Valley State University, Schneider was knocked out of the game after a legal hit from Laker defensive end Nick Lawrence. At the time, Schneider had completed 5-of-8 passes for 35 yards with an interception and he had rushed seven times for 17 yards prior to being knocked out of the game due to injury late in the first half.
Enter Michael Buday, a redshirt freshman and Ferris' backup quarterback following the injury to Robert Banaszak who had season-ending surgery.
Buday entered the game and performed solidly, under pressure, as he completed 8-of-13 passes for 54 yards.
In the game, Schneider was sacked three times before Buday also was sacked three times. Even though he was under great pressure, from start to finish, he looked pretty comfortable and did nice things with the football when he had the time and receivers worked themselves free of defenders.
Chris Wilson and Leon Curry each had three receptions, Mike Ryan and Matt Schuelke each had two catches and with one apiece were Keenan Bowman, Elijah Johnson and Dwayne Williams.
