Ferris State University's 22-20 road loss in the Superior Dome to Northern Michigan has dropped it out of a first-place North Division tie with Grand Valley State University for first place. GVSU now is in sole possession of first at 6-0 with Ferris one game back at 5-1 as the rivals will face off in the Anchor-Bone Classic in Big Rapids this coming Saturday.
That will be a huge game due to, if for no other reason, the current look of the North Division standings of the GLIAC.
