HOCKEY: Ferris Getting Ready To Take On No. 4 Michigan

It's always a fun time when the University of Michigan comes to Big Rapids to play Ferris State University in Ewigleben Ice Arena.

Tonight's (Oct. 29) game should be no different as the Wolverines, ranked fourth in the nation in the major polls.

The Bulldogs, coached by Bob Daniels, and Wolverines face-off tonight at 7:05 p.m. in this Central Collegiate Hockey Association home-and-home series.

Ferris is 4-2-0 overall and 1-1-0 in the CCHA while the Wolverines are 3-1-2 overall and 2-0-0 in conference action.

Michigan split a non-conference series last weekend against nationally-ranked Nebraska-Omaha while Ferris split last weekend at home against Ohio State.

The Wolverines, coached by Red Berenson, are led by senior forward Louie Caporusso, who has two goals and six assists for eight points while Carl Hagelin, also a senior, has six points on two goals with four assists.

For the Bulldogs, ace defenseman Zach Redmond (pictured) has three goals and three assists for six points while forward Nate Hennig (four goals and one assist) and blueliner Chad Billins (two goals and three assists) have five points apiece.

Ferris and Michigan wrap up their two-game series on Saturday night in Ann Arbor beginning at 7:38 p.m. in Yost Ice Arena.
