HOCKEY: Pregame Ferris-Ohio State Notes

Ferris State University is set to host Ohio State this evening in the first half of a two-game Central Collegiate Hockey Association series in Big Rapids at Ewigleben Ice Arena with starting times of 7:05 p.m. on both nights.

Here are some pregame notes to consider prior to tonight's game:
  • Ferris senior forward Nate Hennig is off to a solid start this season as he scored both nights during the Bulldogs' sweep of St. Lawrence last weekend in Big Rapids. He now is on a three-game scoring streak.

  • Ferris is 3-1-0 overall on the season as it opens CCHA play tonight.

  • Head coach Bob Daniels is in his 19th season on the bench for the Bulldogs and has a career record of 293-335-69.

  • Garrett Thompson, a Traverse City native, was named the CCHA Rookie of the Week for his efforts against St. Lawrence.

  • Senior defenseman Zach Redmond, an All-America candidate this season, is just two points away from recording the 75th point of his career.

  • Junior defenseman Derek Graham (pictured) has notched a point in three of four contests he has played in this season.
Check back later for more pregame and post-game Ferris hockey coverage.
