Ferris State University defenseman Zach Redmond is a player who will have high expectations following him throughout the season.

Redmond, a native of Traverse City who has emerged as one of the premier not only in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association but in the country, is off to a good start this season.

Redmond already has a goal and an assist through two games as Ferris split a two-game series with the University of Alabama-Huntsville to open the season.
