VOLLEYBALL: Goodson Earns Top GLIAC Weekly North Division Honor

Arielle Goodson is in the midst of an outstanding senior season of college volleyball at Ferris State University, and people are taking notice.

The Grand Rapids native was selected the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference North Division Volleyball Player of the Week for her efforts in leading the Bulldogs this past weekend. It's the second time in her career she has earned such recognition. Led by Goodson, Ferris earned wins over Ashland University and Lake Erie College over the weekend in Big Rapids. Goodson was a big part of that effort as she totaled 33 kills in the two matches to go along with some other outstanding numbers to help her earn the top weekly honor from the GLIAC representing the North Division.

This fall, Goodson is the team leader in kills (235), kills per set (4.05), total blocks (51), block solos (12), and block assists (39) as a starter in all 15 matches played in.

The Bulldogs are 10-6 overall this season and 7-5 in the highly-competitive GLIAC North Division standings.
