The Bulldogs have won five of their last six matches and two in a row over the weekend defeating Saginaw Valley State 2-0 (Oct. 8) and Northwood 2-0 (Oct. 10).
A big part of that success has been the play of freshman goalkeeper Rachel McCollum, a native of Grand Blanc, who was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week.
When you and your teammates are able to put together back to back shutout victories, the player in the goal tends to get a lot of the credit. McCollum finished with 12 saves during those two matches as she clocked 180 minutes of action in goal. She had five stops against SVSU and then seven saves against NU.

Tuesday (Oct. 12), Ferris is in non-conference action at Lewis University.
