WOMEN'S TENNIS: Stanila Has Stabilized The Top Of The Bulldogs' Lineup

Alina Stanila has been a sensation for this season on the tennis courts for the Ferris State University women's squad.

A native of Alexandria, Romania, Stanila now is a senior for the Bulldogs. The 5-foot-8 standout has been superb playing No. 1 singles for Ferris.

So far this season, Stanila is 11-0 at No. 1 singles as she has been a steady force for the Bulldogs of head coach Alex Palladino.

"Our new addition, senior Alina Stanila has performed very well at our top singles position, and has posted a perfect 8-0 record," Palladino said. "She has teamed up with junior Melissa Flowers at the No. 2 position, and the tandem has posted a 7-1 conference record to date."

Having that standout at the top of the lineup is highly important for a strong regional and national women's tennis team.

The Bulldogs are 9-2 overall and 9-2 in the GLIAC.
