HOCKEY: Nationally-Ranked Ferris Shuts Out Michigan State For 3-0 Road Win

Chad Billins scored once and Eric Alexander (pictured) twice (including an empty-net goal) as nationally-ranked Ferris State University went on the road to East Lansing and defeated Michigan State University 3-0 in Munn Ice Arena.

It's a great way to go into the Thanksgiving break as the Bulldogs used a 27-save performance from senior goaltender Pat Nagle en route to earning the win over the host Spartans, who have had their struggles so far this year, before a crowd of 5,107.

This is a very positive win for the Bulldogs who needed to prove they could win on the road in a tough environment.

A couple of weeks back, Ferris was shut out in back-to-back road losses in Sault Ste. Marie against Lake Superior State University.

Tuesday, however, the Bulldogs bounced back in an impressive way with a great road performance (strong goaltending, good overall defense and an early lead, etc.).
