MEN'S BASKETBALL: Ferris' Keenan Earns GLIAC North Division Player Of The Week Honor

The honors just keep rolling in for Ferris State University senior center Justin Keenan, the 2010-11 Division II Bulletin Preseason National Player of the Year.

This week's honor, for the 6-foot-7 big man, is being named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference North Division Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

The Grand Rapids native, who prepped at Ottawa Hills High School, scored 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a 66-55 win over St. Joseph's, a top-10 preseason national team, and totaled 25 points and 12 rebounds in a 64-61 win over Lewis University to improve to 3-0 on the young season under head coach Bill Sall.

Keenan is off to a strong start this season with two brilliant performances to lead the Bulldogs to two key regional wins. Ferris needed those wins and had to protect its home floor. In both cases it was mission accomplished for Ferris.
