Ferris State University men's basketball head coach Bill Sall was thrilled with the opportunity to compete against a Division I program like Indiana University.
The Bulldogs suffered a 78-65 overtime loss to the Hoosiers.
"First, I want to thank (Indiana University men's basketball head) Coach (Tom) Crean for inviting us down here," Sall said. "It was absolutely a thrill to come down here and play in Assembly Hall. "We played quite good basketball for a long period of time, but shot 20-of-38 from the free throw line and turned it over 25 times. Last time I checked that makes it kind of difficult to win."
Indeed. Free throws are going to be important for this team as Coach Sall mentioned. If the Bulldogs convert a decent percentage in the game they likely win.
