An athletic 6-foot-10 post player that is well schooled and can run the floor is a great catch as Ferris State University men's basketball head coach Bill Sall knows all too well.
The Bulldogs went into the Grand Rapids area to recruit and sign Jared Stolicker, a 6-10 post, who is a native of Middleville who is prepping at Thornapple-Kellogg High School. Last season, Stolicker earned all-state honors as he averaged 15.8 points, 15.8 rebounds and 4.8 blocked shots as a junior.
"We're ecstatic to add Jared and really looking forward to having him on campus next year," said Ferris head coach Bill Sall said. "He's a big guy who runs well and is a tremendous rebounder that gets up and down the floor. He's been well-coached at the high school level and we're excited to sign him early."
