MEN'S BASKETBALL: DeHart Earns GLIAC North Division Player Of The Week Honors

BIG RAPIDS - Ferris State University senior basketball player Matt DeHart picked up a little hardware from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as he was named the league's North Division Player of the Week honors due in no small part to his dynamite performance during the 131 Showdown in Grand Rapids.

In Saturday's 131 Showdown, against rival Grand Valley State in Van Andel Arena, the Bulldogs had a strong performance from DeHart who scored a career-high 21 points as he banged in six shots from outside the three-point line against the Lakers in a 79-72 overtime win.

The 6-foot-4 DeHart proved he is not just a shooter, however, as he added eight rebounds and four steals playing near his hometown of Greenville in front of 5,863 fans in Grand Rapids.
