The Bulldogs began the weekend with a stunning 63-60 upset victory over eighth-ranked Michigan Tech University and followed it up with a dominating 74-44 victory at the expense of Northern Michigan University in Jim Wink Arena in Big Rapids.
Following Thursday's win over MTU, I talked to head coach Tracey Dorow and her players about maintaining a high level of play and not letting down. Both coach and the players understood fully the importance of not letting down.
It became clear, too, early that the Bulldogs had no intention of letting down on Saturday.
Becci Houdek, who continues to play well as one of the leaders of this team from the guard position, scored 17 points and Andrea Clancy added 10 as the Bulldogs earned the 30-point win over the Wildcats in Wink Arena to improve to 9-8 overall and 5-6 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
What an amazing weekend for the Bulldogs.
Lets see if Ferris can continue to perform at a high level.
