HOCKEY: Ferris Sweep Of Alaska Leaves Team Feeling Good

Ferris State University's hockey team has not had a whole lot of success in hockey in Alaska, but that changed over the weekend as the Bulldogs headed WAY out west.

The Bulldogs earned a sweep of the University of Alaska Nanooks over the weekend to reignite a lot of optimism in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association race.

“It feels really good for us to do it here,” Ferris State head coach Bob Daniels said in a story written by writer Danny Martin in the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner. “We’ve lost a lot of heartbreakers (to Alaska). So it feels really good on a night that I thought the better team was UAF. Sometimes it’s just your turn to win.”
