HOCKEY: Ferris To Recognize Its Senior Class This Weekend

BIG RAPIDS - It's a bittersweet time of the year as Ferris State University's ice hockey program plans to honor its seniors on Saturday (Feb. 19) during a special ceremony in the team's regular-season home finale against nationally-ranked University of Notre Dame in Big Rapids.

The Bulldogs and Fighting Irish will battle it out Saturday evening at 7:05 p.m. in a Central Collegiate Hockey Association weekend home finale in Ewigleben Ice Arena.

The eight senior student-athletes to be acknowledged in the annual pre-game ceremony are left wing Mike Embach, Orland Park, Ill.; left wing Mike Fillinger, Grand Ledge; center Nate Hennig, Macomb; center Justin Menke, Shamrock, Saskatchewan; goaltender Pat Nagle Bloomfield; right wing Todd Pococke, Saginaw; defenseman Zach Redmond, Traverse City; and defenseman Scott Wietecha, Wolverine Lake.

Ferris is 16-12-4 overall and in fifth place in the CCHA at 11-10-3-2.
