Ferris State University men's basketball head coach Bill Sall's squad is in the regional rankings, at ninth, but still has some work to do with tough competition ahead. (Photo/Ben Amato)Ferris State University's men's basketball team is playing much better basketball in the second half of the season and that is beginning to be reflected in the regional rankings.
The Bulldogs now are ranked ninth in the NCAA Division II Midwest Region rankings. Their status could be helped if they hold on for a victory today against Ashland University to follow up a win over Lake Erie College on Thursday.
The rankings below are indicative of a tough Midwest Region that has Bellarmine University on top right now with an undefeated record at the time of this poll.
Grand Valley is not listed in these rankings, but is a threat to climb back in as the Lakers, like Ferris, will have some opportunities coming up against teams ranked high in the region (University of Findlay and Wayne State University).
