(Photo by Ben Amato)The combination of a hot shooting night for Wayne State University, a tough shooting night for Ferris State University and players out due to injury and illness made life tough on the Bulldogs.
The Warriors left Big Rapids with an 83-74 win over the Bulldogs, who were playing without senior center Andrea Clancy, who entered the season as the most experienced returning post player, and freshman guard Sarah DeShone, who had emerged as a dependable young guard for the Bulldogs in her first season.
Becci Houdek led the Bulldogs with 15 points as her solid all-around performance was one of the efforts that attempted to help keep Ferris in the contest.
