VOLLEYBALL: Former Bulldog Dehring Named Head Coach At Alma College

ALMA - Former Ferris State University volleyball player Sarah Dehring was named the head volleyball coach at Alma College in an announcement made this week.

“I am thrilled to be the next Alma College volleyball coach,” Dehring said. “I am anxious to get to work and add to what the program has done over the past few seasons. We have a great foundation in place and my goal is to bring an MIAA championship to this campus. I want to thank everyone involved in the interview process for having the confidence in me for this position.”

Dehring, a native of Mackinac Island, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Ferris in 2004. She played volleyball for current Bulldog head coach Tia Brandel-Wilhelm.

She has gained valuable experience at different levels as an assistant coach and should be ready for this challenge as a head coach.
