Ferris State University benefited from a strong road trip to Columbus, Ohio. The Bulldogs defeated Ohio State University 4-3 in game one and then tied 3-3 in game two with a shootout victory. That point-producing weekend helped Ferris in the national rankings as it sits 10th in the U.S. College Hockey Online Division I Men's Poll (Jan. 23).
The poll is stacked with Central Collegiate Hockey Association rivals - indicative of a tough race the Bulldogs will have as they hit the stretch run of this season. Notre Dame is fourth, Ohio State is sixth, Michigan is eighth, Western Michigan is 13th, Michigan State is 16th, Miami is 17th and Northern Michigan is 19th.
